Women’s Leadership Alliance

The Women's Leadership Alliance (WLA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing women in the financial advising profession. Based in St. Petersburg, FL, the WLA provides comprehensive education, resources, and professional support designed specifically for women pursuing careers in financial planning and advisory services. The organization focuses on transforming the financial services industry by increasing female representation at all professional levels and creating pathways for women to build thriving careers in this dynamic field.

The WLA's core offerings include impactful mentorship programs, professional development resources, and community-building initiatives that connect financial advisors, industry leaders, educators, students, and allies across the country. Through the Ambassador Community program, the organization facilitates collaboration, thought-leadership engagement, and meaningful networking opportunities for professionals committed to advancing women in financial advising. The WLA also provides university partnerships, student scholarships, and 1:1 mentorship support to attract promising women leaders into the profession.

With a mission to attract, develop, and engage the most promising women leaders, the WLA directly addresses the industry's critical gender gap—currently only 18% of financial advisors are women. The organization is particularly focused on preparing women to serve the evolving financial needs of diverse clients, especially as an estimated $68 trillion in wealth transfers from baby boomers to younger generations over the coming decades. By strengthening female representation in financial advising, the WLA works to create a more inclusive, innovative, and representative industry that better serves all clients.
