Women Lawyers of Sacramento

Women Lawyers of Sacramento is a Sacramento County Bar affiliate dedicated to advancing women in the legal profession through comprehensive professional development and advocacy initiatives. Since its establishment in 1962, the organization has grown into a strong voice for women lawyers throughout Sacramento County, offering members extensive networking opportunities, career advancement programs, and professional support services. The organization hosts monthly MCLE luncheons and educational seminars covering critical topics including glass ceiling issues, sexual harassment, judicial independence, civility, and health care reform. Women Lawyers of Sacramento maintains active committees focused on career advancement, retention and development, grants, awards, judicial appointments, and legislation, ensuring members have access to resources that support their professional growth and success. The organization also facilitates important connections through annual Supreme Court receptions and judicial and legislative receptions that bring together attorneys, judges, and legislators. Beyond individual member services, Women Lawyers of Sacramento actively advocates for legislative changes benefiting women and children, supports qualified candidates for judicial and public appointments, and engages in community outreach through partnerships with other bar organizations.
