Vanderbilt Women in Business

Vanderbilt Women in Business is a premier student organization at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, dedicated to empowering women through comprehensive professional development and career advancement programming. Since its founding in spring 2016, the organization has grown from six undergraduate founders to a thriving community of 800 students, supported by an executive team of nine and a leadership team exceeding 40 members.

The organization offers a robust suite of career-focused services designed to equip members with essential professional skills and industry connections. Their Speaker Series features keynote presentations from accomplished executives, including leaders from major corporations such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, American Airlines, Goldman Sachs, and Universal Music Group. These events provide direct access to insights from top-tier professionals navigating competitive business environments.

Vanderbilt Women in Business operates several signature programs tailored to member success. The Mentorship Program matches 20 Vanderbilt undergraduates each semester with Nashville-based industry leaders, fostering relationships that have resulted in long-term professional connections and job placements. The Externship Program, their newest initiative, places participants in internship positions at Nashville-based companies, providing hands-on experience in the local business community.

Beyond traditional career services, the organization provides interview workshops, exclusive networking events, and financial literacy training to all members.
