United WE is a national nonprofit think-and-do tank based in Kansas City, MO, dedicated to driving systemic change through research-backed solutions focused on women's economic participation and leadership. Through The Institute, United WE conducts rigorous research on women's labor force participation, translating findings into actionable insights for policymakers and community leaders. The organization's flagship Appointments Project has assisted nearly 175 women in securing appointments to civic boards and commissions, directly advancing women's leadership in governance. United WE's work spans critical focus areas including caregiving solutions, occupational licensing reform, and diplomatic approaches to policy change.

Since 1991, United WE has fielded 21 comprehensive research studies and briefs examining women's economic development. The organization's contributions have advanced equal pay initiatives, expanded paid family leave policies, removed barriers to professional licensing and entrepreneurship, and strengthened protections against workplace harassment.
