About SisterSong

SisterSong is a national membership organization based in Atlanta, GA, dedicated to advancing reproductive justice through strategic policy advocacy, organizational training, and movement leadership. As the largest national multi-ethnic Reproductive Justice collective, SisterSong serves indigenous women and women of color by building effective networks that challenge and transform institutional policies and systems impacting reproductive lives. The organization functions as a thought leader in reproductive justice analysis, providing training programs that draw thousands of activists into the movement while building the capacity of mid-career organizers to integrate the reproductive justice framework into their work. SisterSong convenes the largest conferences of women of color working on reproductive justice and facilitates critical collaborations among reproductive justice groups to amplify collective power. The organization's membership includes and represents Indigenous, African American, Arab and Middle Eastern, Asian and Pacific Islander, and Latina women and LGBTQ people, along with allies committed to women's human rights. Operating from Atlanta, SisterSong serves as a movement voice recognized by the United Nations, White House, legislators, and major mainstream organizations, while working to bring reproductive justice into mainstream consciousness alongside civil rights and women's rights movements. Through professional development initiatives, policy advocacy platforms, and rapid-response organizing, SisterSong strengthens and amplifies the collective voices of women of color to eradicate reproductive oppression and secure human rights for marginalized communities.
