Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers

The Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (PFAWL) is a professional network dedicated to advancing women in the legal profession throughout St. Petersburg, Florida and the surrounding Pinellas County region. PFAWL provides comprehensive professional development opportunities including monthly networking socials held at various locations across Pinellas County, continuing legal education seminars at reduced or no cost, and access to FAWL's extensive online CLE library. The organization facilitates career advancement through advocacy for member appointments to Florida Bar Committees and Judicial Nominating Commissions, leveraging institutional knowledge to support applicants for these statewide positions. PFAWL recognizes professional accomplishments through regular member spotlights in newsletters and actively nominates members for local, statewide, and national awards. The chapter maintains robust mentorship programs connecting experienced attorneys with mentees across practice areas, and provides judicial networking opportunities with local judges who are chapter members. Beyond individual professional growth, PFAWL addresses systemic issues affecting women in the legal community, including gender equality, workplace harassment, parental leave policies, and workplace accommodations. Members benefit from statewide FAWL connections providing access to over 3,000 fellow lawyers, signature events including the Annual Summit and Leadership Retreat, and representation on the Florida Bar Board of Governors and national women lawyer associations.
