National Council of Jewish Women of Canada

The National Council of Jewish Women of Canada (NCJWC) is a volunteer-driven organization providing comprehensive community services through education, advocacy, and social action programs. Based in Toronto, ON, NCJWC delivers vital initiatives addressing critical social issues including human trafficking prevention, child poverty, antisemitism awareness, and support for vulnerable populations including women, children, families, and new Canadians.

NCJWC operates multiple specialized programs reflecting diverse community needs across age, gender, race, and religious backgrounds. Key service areas include the Human Trafficking initiative, Jewish Genetic Diseases Awareness testing and education, the Gift of Life Organ and Tissue Donation program, and the Women 2 Women Countering Racism (W2W) project. The organization also provides programming focused on ageism awareness, child welfare, and support for elderly community members.

As Canada's first Jewish women's organization, NCJWC has maintained a catalyst role for social change since 1897. The organization functions as a unique bridge connecting diverse communities—between Jewish and secular cultures, between those with resources and those with unmet needs, and between Canadian, Israeli, and international initiatives. NCJWC members advocate for civil rights, women's and children's rights, public health, childcare access, and educational advancement.
