National Council of Catholic Women

The National Council of Catholic Women, headquartered in Washington, DC, is a comprehensive organization dedicated to supporting and empowering Catholic women across the United States through spirituality, leadership development, and meaningful service initiatives. Founded in 1920 by the U.S. Catholic Bishops, NCCW connects thousands of Catholic women and affiliated women's organizations in parishes and dioceses nationwide, providing a unified voice for Catholic women in matters affecting both the Church and national welfare.

NCC W delivers a robust suite of programs and resources designed to enhance personal faith formation while addressing contemporary social issues through prayer and action grounded in Gospel values. Members gain access to quarterly publications including Catholic Woman Magazine and the monthly NCCW President's Pen e-newsletter, along with opportunities to serve on Commission Teams and Committees focused on spirituality, leadership, and service. The organization facilitates networking opportunities through annual conventions and provides eligibility to participate in NCCW elections and business meetings.

As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, NCCW maintains strategic partnerships with Catholic Relief Services, Catholic Charities USA, and the World Union of Catholic Women's Organisations. The organization holds representation at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops biannual meetings, the Catholic Social Ministry Gathering, and maintains a representative presence at the United Nations in New York.
