Muslim Women's Organization

Muslim Women's Organization (MWO) serves the Orlando, FL community by creating comprehensive programs and initiatives designed to empower Muslim women and address their specific needs. Since 2010, MWO has established itself as a leading resource for community service opportunities, leadership development, and support services throughout Central Florida. The organization operates the MWO HUB, a welcoming and affirming space located at 2813 S. Hiawassee Road in Orlando, where Muslim women connect, reflect, and grow together. MWO's programs are built on core values of faith, compassion, inclusivity, collaboration, and creativity. The organization provides training and resources focused on advancing gender equity, with particular emphasis on educating communities about the established rights of women in Islamic tradition. MWO coordinates community service initiatives including Ramadan preparation programs, Eid celebrations, and volunteer opportunities that encourage women to take on meaningful leadership roles. The organization also offers assistance request services to support Muslim women facing challenges related to abuse, financial hardship, and other pressing concerns. Through partnerships with major Islamic institutions across Central Florida, MWO has strengthened its capacity to serve diverse populations. The HUB functions as both a quiet study and work space and a hub for task forces and committees focused on community change. MWO's programming addresses critical gaps in support services while fostering safe, affirming spaces where honest conversations and personal growth can occur. With a dedicated team including a Gender Equity Advancement Coordinator, MWO continues expanding its reach and impact in Orlando's Muslim community.
