The Greater Oklahoma City Chapter of the Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) is a dedicated organization serving union women throughout Oklahoma City, OK and the surrounding region. As part of America's only national organization exclusively for union women, the Oklahoma City chapter provides comprehensive support and advocacy for working women in the labor movement. CLUW focuses on empowering women to achieve greater participation at all levels within their unions, from shop floor to leadership positions. The organization works to organize the unorganized, promote affirmative action and social and economic justice in the workplace, and increase women's participation in political and legislative processes. Members of the Greater Oklahoma City Chapter benefit from education on critical workplace issues including equal pay, child and elder care benefits, job security, safe working conditions, affordable health care, contraceptive equity, and protection from sexual harassment and violence at work. By connecting with a network of more than 70 international and national unions across the United States, the Oklahoma City chapter provides local union women with resources, support networks, and opportunities to engage in meaningful advocacy.
