The organization's primary focus includes fundraising for educational scholarships and bursaries, contributing over $30,000 annually to support women pursuing post-secondary education at Memorial University, the Marine Institute, and College of the North Atlantic. Beyond local scholarship work, the St. John's chapter actively participates in national advocacy efforts addressing critical issues including pay equity, child care policy, employment insurance, and women in non-traditional occupations. The organization works collaboratively with the Canadian Human Rights Commission and maintains consultative status with the United Nations, enabling members to engage in international policy discussions on gender equality and women's empowerment.
