BU Women's Professional Development Committee

The BU Women's Professional Development Committee is a student-led organization dedicated to advancing professional growth and career readiness for graduate-level women in science at Boston University. Based in Boston, MA, the committee provides comprehensive professional development programming designed to equip emerging women scientists with the skills and networks necessary for success in STEM careers.

The organization hosts the SheInspires Lunch Series, a monthly networking initiative that connects graduate students with accomplished female professors, researchers, and Boston University alumni working across diverse scientific disciplines. These intimate small-group sessions provide invaluable insights into navigating careers in STEM fields while building meaningful mentorship relationships. Additionally, the committee offers a monthly Workshop Series focused on developing both professional and personal competencies, with topics tailored to student interests and career goals.
